Attention, Pokémon Sleep researchers! A thrilling new event is on the horizon: the Dragon-Type Pokémon Spotlight Week (Vol. 1). This week-long celebration is your golden opportunity to befriend powerful Dragon-type Pokémon and prepare for the upcoming arrival of the legendary Latios and the rare Soul Dew item!

In this guide, we break down the event dates, exclusive bonuses, and expert tips to help you maximize your sleep research during this special week.

Event Overview: When and Where?

  • Event Period: From Monday, May 25, at 4:00 a.m. to Monday, June 1, at 3:59 a.m. (local time).
  • Eligible Areas: This event takes place in all research areas.
  • Mission Period: Missions will be available throughout the entire event duration.

Exclusive Event Bonuses

During the Dragon-Type Spotlight Week, several powerful bonuses will be active to help you fill your Sleep Style Dex and strengthen your team:

  1. Guaranteed Hungry Pokémon: During your first snack time of each day, at least one Pokémon is guaranteed to be hungry. This makes it much easier to recruit those elusive Dragon types!
  2. Diverse Sleep Types: Regardless of your actual sleep type for the night, Pokémon of various sleep types will appear during your research, broadening your chances of encountering different species.
  3. Increased Appearance Rates: Specific Pokémon, particularly Dragon types, will have a much higher chance of appearing (see the list below).
  4. Limited-Time Mini Candy Boost: A special function to level up your helper Pokémon faster than ever.

Which Pokémon Should You Look For?

The spotlight is on the dragons! Here are the Pokémon with boosted appearance rates:

  • Greater Appearance Rate: Drampa.
  • Slightly Greater Appearance Rate: Dratini, Dragonair, Dragonite, Altaria, Bagon, Shelgon, Salamence, Noibat, and Noivern.

Where to Find Them (Area Guide)

If you are looking for a specific Dragon-type, make sure you are researching in the right location:

  • Greengrass Isle: Dratini*, Bagon*, Noibat, Noivern, and Drampa. (Special Note: Dratini and Bagon only appear here during the event!)
  • Taupe Hollow: Noibat and Noivern.
  • Snowdrop Tundra: Altaria.
  • Lapis Lakeside: Dratini, Dragonair, Dragonite, Altaria, and Drampa.
  • Amber Canyon: Altaria, Bagon, Shelgon, Salamence, Noibat, Noivern, and Drampa.
  • Greengrass Isle (Expert): Dratini, Altaria, Bagon, Noibat, Noivern, and Drampa.

Master the Mini Candy Boost

The Mini Candy Boost is a game-changer for players looking to strengthen their team quickly.

  • The Benefit: Using this function gives your helper Pokémon double (2x) the usual EXP from candies.
  • The Cost: It requires four times (4x) the usual amount of Dream Shards per candy.
  • Limit: You can use this boost for up to 50 candies per day.
  • How to Use: It is set to “ON” by default during the event. You can toggle it via the button in the top-right corner of the Level Up screen.

Pro Tip: Save your Dream Shards specifically for this week to level up your high-tier Dragon types like Dragonite or Salamence!

Important Reminders for Researchers

  • Daily Roll-over: Each event day starts at 4:00 a.m. local time.
  • Tracking Sleep: Event bonuses only apply to sleep data tracked during the event period. If you use “Review Later” for pre-event data, bonuses won’t apply.
  • Post-Event Rarity: After June 1st, Dratini and Bagon will no longer appear on Greengrass Isle unless you use their specific Incense.
